Receiver-in-Canal (RIC) hearing aids represent the most popular hearing aid style today, accounting for over 70% of all hearing aids sold. Also called Receiver-in-the-Ear (RITE), this design places the speaker (receiver) inside your ear canal while the processor sits in a small case behind your ear. The main advantage of RIC aids is sound quality - by placing the receiver directly in the ear canal, the sound travels a shorter distance and arrives more naturally. RIC aids also offer excellent Bluetooth connectivity, rechargeable options, and come in very discreet designs.
